Today's NEW PAPER headlined TD..this piece of investigative report is alittle biased. Sounds so much like some publicity stunt of main stream clubs to make TDs look bad. The description of PRs disappearing after getting customers to buy them LD is damn lame. I can sense that there will be more raids now since the report openly question the auhorities on the legality of the PRs working in the TDs.
Also make TD sound like some flesh trade joint. Damn pissed after reading it.
STD bros just be on the look out if you are out at the TDs, it can be super mood dampening if you are having fun and suddenly all lights switched on.

Some of the reported facts are not very accurate. I believe that there is no booking system for Thai PRs in TDs as far as I am concerned. They are free to choose their customers. Sometimes, a PR can stick to a table for a few hours even if the customer only bought her 5 LDs costing between SGD 50.00 to SGD 60.00 in total. And, it does not necessarily mean that they would stick to you the whole night even if you clear up her daily LD quotas. Even if one buy her night out, she would not stay with the customer until dawn unless she has special feelings for that guy. And, the picture of the PR hugging tightly with the customer is not commonly seen in TDs. Definitely, Thai disco joints are not as sleazy as what they think here. The general public is really deluded into thinking that TDs are similar to what you can expect in Geylang. Obviously, they are not even half as sleazy as Vietnamese and Pinoy joints. And, I feel that the press is blowing the news out of proportions. And by the way, the flaming cocktail is called a "waterfall".  |
