Having been thru 2 yrs in the TD scene, would like to share with you what i came up with to describe this whole stage we went thru. Upon completing the cycle (depending on hw much u learnt frm it) it converts you from a newbie who knows nothing and super vulnerable to GT to a lao jiao who knws how everything works at his fingertips and high immunity to GT. May not be applicable to all but i believe, majority. As follows:
Phase 1 - Curiosity/ New Interest I believe this is where everyone starts off. New joiners the TD scene as well as lao jiaos who just finished their first cycle. At this stage we begin our TD adventure for the first time and most of us will be fascinated with the live bands, pooyings, singers etc. Something new and some may find it prettying relaxing and enjoyable during your first visit there (If not then gd for u, ur cycle ends here). At this stage u make a choice between revisiting to explore more or stop. Over here, we include ur first encounter with ur so called GT. New face, pretty, nice & friendly, makes you hav a special liking for her and yes u decide "this is my homegrnd. I feel comfortable here and will most likely revisit this place". Bang! ur hooked.
Phase 2 - PubertyOk i knw the naming convention for this is abit lame but i dont really hav the time to think of a better one so pardon me. Yes, this is the stage where ur little spending comes in... Little spending at this stage refers to the mini things that u are doing which at this pt may not be too costly. U start with small spendings on LDs, flowers, with abit of caution on ur spending because its not the usual you to spend so much before you visit such places. I too believe that such spendings are necessary (for most cases) in order for the GT to remain in effect orelse most prob the girls wld hav lost interest in u. Actions such as sending her home after work, going for dinner are also included BUT ur not to the point of splurging on branded goods, hanging extravagant flowers or buying huge amt of LDs yet.... You start to show signs that yes u can spend and starting to enjoy the process of spending to have the attention of ur GT and spending more time together. For those who hav already completed the cycle and are "recycling" again, i can only comment that most prob this is where ur "recycled" stage stops (reason being u learnt a lesson and u do nt wish to fall into the same trap again). Maintain it at this stage and yes u can still hav ur fun with minimal spending.
Phase 3 - MaturityYes "congrats"! U are full grown and matured! This is where the pain starts. Spending gets crazy. Its out of ur normal budgets and u start to eat up ur savings! Gosh sounds bad but if ur already in this stage, most prob u wun realise it orelse there wouldnt be a Phase 4.. hehe. At this phase, on top of the small spendings on ur liquor and small expenses, u make further spendings on ur GT. What sort of spendings, i leave it to u to figure it out. You keep telling urself "ok i shldnt be spending so much. Will nt spend much if i go down tonite" but how mani times have u failed urself? U challenge ur frens goin down with u to not spend and still able to hav ur GT keeping u company but u end up still spending. To summarise, this stage is a huge outflow of cash and please refrain from remaining here too long orelse i dunno what will happen. Its surprising that some pple get stuck in this cycle for a long long time before completing it but for the fortunate ones, they complete it fast and get over it fast with "minimal" (hard to call it minimal bcause damage already done.. At least its not prolonged) damage.
A pt to note is that at this stage, we might hav bros who really met their true love and the GT is a real sincere one. Ur stage stops here because both of u live happily ever after (Not too sure how many of such cases we have but its there). Well of course some may argue that they stopped at phase 2 and continue happily ever after. I dont deny that but it varies for cases u see. Congrats if this scenario suits u. If not please MOVE ON AND FINISH UR CYCLE!
Phase 4 - Remorse / RegretsHeres where the forum comes in! Our GT helpdesk provides 24 hr counselling services as well as gd true live experience feedbacks! Yes U got cheated. But what to do? Life goes on. U cry, u whine, u complain but GT has already sucked u enough. Shes gone and ur left to ponder over what sh_t you have done. Yes Some of u really regret it thoroughly and this is where u have learnt and not repeat the same foolish mistakes! For those who dont learn, please go thru the whole cycle again till u learn. 555+
Ok u made a decision "i shall not quit td but i shall approach it in a different manner nw. Have my fun but keep spending within my limits". Please move back on to Phase 1 and stick to Phase 2! ^^
