those who wants a fake marriage just want to be able to work in singapore.. definitely still got cases but probably not that common 'cos after marriage cannot immediately convert to PR or citizen so still cannot work..

one of my female friends was ever asked by a thai poochai performer if she will marry him and he will give her $1k! she felt insulted he offered so little.. 

1k every month for 2 years still ok ba lol.

errhmm its only 1-time off payment of $1k! maybe he thinks he is doing her a favour by marrying her? opps..

Marrying does make re-entry more convenient since by showing the ICA pig at the passport control your marriage cert proves good reason for entering Sg shores.
There is still need for frequent flights back to Thailand. Unfortunately.
But at least less chance of u-turn. Very less.
It's like a long term plan. Cos eventually can register business, etc with a "husband" and a marriage cert.
I think it's yet another alternative for runaway Thai girls.
Ahem... some can be Thai women older than your TD coyote.

But remember... as husband and wife... have to frequently make love.
If not frequent or never make love for 2years or if either partner make love to somebody else frequently or for more than 2years... can file for divorce. And you make need to pay a lot of money thereafter in maintenance.

i heard some will kena interviewed by the authority if both of you are really in love. they will so call test you. some people will get caught mainly because your body language sells you out.
