I intended to post an FR on Thai Disco 2 and realised that there isn't a thread for this joint on this forum (to my surprise)

Anyways, was there last night for the happy hour and I was pleasantly surprised. Black Fire band is back and they are awesome! The band was tight and I can safely say that their singers are one of the most talented I have seen in a while.

Downside is that their DJ is annoying (even the PRs were quite pissed off with him for yakking nonsense into the mic) and their sound system could be improved. There's an air conditioner that is leaking so if you're going there, avoid the centre table near the toilet. Their PRs are not impressive (most of them are quite old) although there were some who are really hot and very friendly. It seems that there was a police raid at GM recently hence the PRs were quite paranoid when talking about their stay in Singapore.

There was a healthy crowd too. By 11pm, the place was almost full house (maybe 1-2 tables still unoccupied). There was a group who were supporting 1 particular singer. I understood why she had a following when she started singing. Impressive is the word. There was no flower battle, so I suppose it's easier to make the band happy haha.

In my very first post on this forum (about 4 months ago), I have mentioned that TD2 has terribly disappointed me. I take it back because TD2 is much better now. They should be able to see me there more often after last night's experience

td 2 is and td 1 is good la..their singers are all very friendly..normal pricing during happy hour for martell is 158..after 10 is 188 per bottle..2 for 308..for the rest i not sure..=)

Bro Octopuss keeps it updated on a regular basis. And should you need a reference, TD2 prices and TD1 prices should be the same.

Happy hour is until 10pm and beers go for 2 jugs at SGD 32.00. I don't know about towers nor liquor prices for happy hour.

Oh and one word of advice. Avoid buying their towers. They say it's 3 litres (about SGD 80) but they fill up the whole thing with ice before pouring in the beer - not worth it IMO

the barrels they use is not the big big tiger ones. it's the slim singha tower. bought a tower there once and it finished super fast. bo hua.

IMO the tower thingy happens to most of the TD~ Often I saw many ice cubes in the tower~ somehow the beer will get more dilute as time goes by~

If I remember correctly... Those tower used at Thailand Disco, the centre core got one small chamber to house the ice cubes, seperated from the beer, so the beer won't get diluted~

thats true. thai disco that time mixed soda water into my beer. i worked for tiger beer once and i've been trained to taste dilution. confronted bartender say he never. showed him my staff card then he refunded me my $. dont like all these underhand methods to cut cost.

haha.... for us~ L.L. just drink~ IMO jug of beer is more worth it, since GMTD is one of the cheapest deal...

Let alone Narci do have their in-house free flow beer promotion in certain hours

Tower,,, IMO more for showcase
