normally... price for martell is usually 20bucks more than chivas....
anywayz... we have d equivalent to thai disco joints in SG as well... SJPH.... i.e. Dragonfly... hahahahah... it caters to d local SG crowd... juz like how d thai joints cater to their local THAI crowd...
one cannot expect to have a real thai joint in SG n expect it to do as well as wat it wldve been in thailand... in SG... we have our own local clubs... Butterfactory... ZOUK... Zirca... but... itz juz a matter of wat clientele wans.... alot of ppl who i know who goes to thai joints both in SG n THAI... they do... also go to d local clubs in SG...
if one really wana compare... dat wld b to compare d ratio of guys n gals in d clubs in both countries... otherwise... a club is a club... n there is no difference frm wat country it is in...
G-Club concept... well.. datz how a business wld make money... aint it.. they cant compete against the regular club giants... so they gotta take it to another level...

Moko is set up for people who enjoys more exclusivity.
Our Grand opening is slated sometime in late January. And we have just started our soft launch. Praises all round especially on the renovation and the fresh faces we got.
Our operation hours is from 9pm - 3am daily. Our happy hours operation will start from 1st Januar 2010, from 3pm - 9pm ( Monday - Friday )
The club is mainly zoned into 3 areas.
1) 5 KTV rooms 2) Main Hall 3) Sofa areas
Prices on Liquor. 1) Main Hall - Chivas 12 yrs - $220 ( before GST ) 2) KTV + Sofas - Chivas 12 yrs - $300 ( before GST )
Please ask the managers on the floor for more extended information on prices.
Moko is at 26 China Street, #02-02. ( Far East Square Carpark building ). We are just 3 mins drive away from the Integrated Resort and we are gearing up for their opening.
We dont sell the cheapest liquor but we believe we can give you the best clubbing experience in Singapore. We want to create the fun factor.

bro sorry, but just for my humble opinion. In singapore thai club are thai club, it's not the prime club which will 95% attract local and who is chinese. You can't expect malay or indians to be singing with you over there? Don't ever compare zicra, zouk and dragonfly with all these. Because just One side of their speaker can buy alot of things already. If you can spend, you'll have crowd. I'm not trying to be racist or making wild assumption, it's justified. If you wanna cater, think twice. Unless you have a high status/reptuation in your club or you'll just suffer with lost. All i wanna say, you can't assume because there are alot of factor hiding behind those unsuccessful club still clinging with it.

my humble opinion...high end spending working ppl (ang mo kids, law ppl, doctors, finance) will go zirca, zouk and spend. high spending 'ah beng' like us will go atlantis and neverland. we not used to high class place because we like to go in a relaxed manner, eg berms on a later night? if we rich ah beng starts to go moko, then i guess the rich spending working class may just siam us. end of the day, ppl who frequent thai places must have a liking for thai culture. if they just want pretty gals plus some laba, they go prc joints and veit ktvs. i mean we dun go to thai pubs aiming to touch and f right? if can f, it's a bonus for the outing. esle we go back pcc and tell ourselves to go ktv better. but end of the wk, we get ourselves mao again back in thai pub.

Well, the concept of exclusivity may be good but at the end of the day, the average TD joe would be more comfortable in a regular TD. Places like Atlantis, Neverland, Ratchada caters to the masses. If you bank on exclusivity, then your clients must be in that certain category. That means the overheads must be high for the owners. A place like Far east Square will choke you on monthly rentals. Also, you must pay good money to your band, coyotes in order for them to stay with you. Given the level of competition from the other TDs, its a tough act. Most clubes in BKK, like those in RCA, Rtachada caters mainly to the young and the mass. I don't sense any exclusivity in these joints. Its like the difference between a Country Club and a Community Club. How many people are in the first category. Just my thoughts. Cheers.

Those who can really spend is 'ah beng' you mentioned above. Who says frequent thai places must have a liking for thai culture? lol

hehehe, bro adrian. yes u see angmo kia and law people (lawyers), but these are small spenders in tds, cant help owners survive. they spend more in zirca and st james and velvet. u go check. they are socialites there, not td. they go td only a part-timers. but we different, we go td 2-3 times out of 7 days. each time throw 300buck flower, buy 20 drinks. but then, we only go st james once a month with our GT. as for thai culture, i meant the thai culture at there night scene. not those thai csutom la.
