Then what happens in the original TD? Can we say that TD1 started for Thais and hardcore local siamkia then?

Are there coyotes then? When did coyotes come in?

I heard the coyotes are prostitutes?

Afaik, TD1 is the mother of all TDs. ;D Then there were only guys there drinking. I remember that there was a local Chinese guy who worked at TD1 and he managed to get a female singer to be his gf. If there are girls at TD1, they were probably brought there by their bfs. Very few TGs went there to chill although there were some aunties with some Thai guys who were probably working in the construction industry. Usually, the guys will just aim at the female singers. No models, no coyotes and no dancers. Only live band playing. Those who want to find pros would head to Orchard Towers where the pros are located e.g. Top 10 (now changed to Top 5) and Ipanema.

I don't recall when coyotes started coming, perhaps during your cheonging days at Icon, Bro 2015? Not sure if coyotes are pros although they are good at GTing local guys.  :)

Can you provide more information during this period?

@Octopuss

You started going during Central Mall Icon period?

Yes Boss, I started to venture my first Thai Joint s_xperience at Central Mall around 2006... BTW its not Icon, the name of the joint is Live Impact. By then already have LD & flower system...

555+ As you have already known, my first Thai Joint related chat was not here, but at SBF --- Singapore Bike Forum... I think I made about 2,500 post over there... had a great time over there but since I am here I had spent much time running STD than to SBF...

IMO nothing has much changes ever since, just more joints emerge, prices increase & more ppl aware of Thai thingy... Some Joint close, some joint re-open, those earlier ones like IBarr @ Mohd Sultan, Geographer @ Clarke Quay, to later LI, Atlantis, Yess Leisure, Resort @ ECP... Kind of miss them but well, place is not around but ppl are, some of the staff, Sg friends & Thai coyote/model/singers I knew of since 2006 are still kicking butt nowadays...

during the time I started going to TD1, there were singers, dancers, and coyotes. customers were majority thai with some locals. locals ate mostly older uncles. In our mid 20s, we were the usually the youngest locals around.

Flowers were definitely there then as I remember there was one guy who was trying to sian a singer and he was buying big bunches of flowers to hang for her every song. Was wondering was he so loaded and that was when we knew the price. Btw the singers back then do not approach customers unless you hang flowers for them.

Coyotes were also there because we were pissed as the coyote ordered 2 tequila at 10 bucks each and she finished them within 5 mins and went off immediately. As my thai was non-existent then, could not tell her off nor confirm whether can tabao them.for money. Never been approached though.

IBarr was quite a small joint, reassemble like the size of ex-DH @ Chijmes... but from there you can root out not only to LI/Icon but also Neverland... If I recall our late friend KC had first met his wife Mimi over at IBarr.

Just for sharing my brief past s_xperience with Thai Joint. My first experience with the Live band was named 'Illusion' from LI, I wouldn't know how good is other joint doing, but it was always full-house treatment in LI almost every-night... during that time there are already having coyote (which is now named themselves as models), shots & flowers were cheaper but can't recall the price

During that time this place rules Central Mall, I mean no residence complain, many car parks & no peer competition. There was Mdm Wong & later become Momo at Magazine Road, but its different league until the legendary Nana took over.

And what I am glad to know that most staff & ppl I knew 9 yrs ago at Live Impact are still kicking ass nowadays... Sound man Uncle Lam is still doing well at Aura, Uncle Lam's wife still occasionally cook at Aura. James the DJ now still spinning at Allures. Some staffs now reside at Aura with few of them retire from night scene. Singers from Illusion Band whom you might have knew of (as in the pix below) Singer Nina, Grape & Kae are all married and have happy families... whom one of them Singer Kae has married to Boss Mr Patrick which I believe already many ppl have known of... They are now doing very well in cookery industry. Thanks to FB still can be able to know they all are doing well

After the Band Illusion comes another Band named City Cats, I believe the old timers whom frequent to LI/Icon would remember them too well. Singer Anna, Mimi, Kate & Thomas... they can easily received tons of flowers each night which I believe they have had many supporters & fans base. Altogether those were the good times, with many friendly faces & nice environment

And of course by then LI @ Central Mall was closed due to some issue (which I believe to be owner wants it clean & no trouble), LI was then pull their manpower to Icon Bar at Yess Leisure, where there you have Oasis, 72 & Sabai Sabai~ IMO another great place to hang out and lots of memories, may be another time
